Giovanni Cavero is an artist from the Island of Giglio in the Tuscan Archipelago.
He studied at the School of Art in Florence and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. He has taught design and watercolour in both public schools and private courses. His work ranges from painting – with a broad chromatic palette inspired by the natural wonders of his island home – to sculpture in wood, clay and bronze of simple, but powerful figures and objects, filled with a universal and timeless depth. Some of Giovanni Cavero’s works are currently in the collections of European and American collectors and are also exhibited in the artist’s personal Studio located on the Island of Giglio.
